Milking The Feed Your Feed Meme

Presented By: EJ Cooksey | 7/22/2007 12:20:00 AM

While visiting at Christy's Coffee Break, I found this new meme and thought it would be great to join...it was started by John Cow Dot Com as a way to Mooove your stats up by increasing the amount of RSS readers you have and also improving your Technorati rank....plus, you will get to visit some great new blogs you’ve probably never seen before!

#Start copy here#

The idea is simple: You want readers and you want link backs too because that’s all us bloggers want, it’s more precious than milk for some...

So how does it work?

Simple! You just copy the list down below on your blog, hence creating link backs for your blogging friends and then click the RSS feed link to subscribe to all of them. Then you add yourself and up to 5 other bloggers and their feeds to the end of the list before you publish it on your own blog. Show your friends some link love!

Just imagine if just 10 people would do this and then 10 more after them. That would get your blog 100 extra link backs and 100 extra feed subscribers!

Because more and more people are turning to the web to find the information and products they need, opportunities for niche marketing have never been better.

The key to successful niche marketing, niche blogging and affiliate revenue is to find a niche and fill it. Products can be hand-picked to perfectly fit the content of your site, blog or niche. There is an unlimited number of niches you can profit from. How much you make is entirely up to you, all it takes is time and research.

What niche market is for you? Believe it or not, ideas are everywhere.

You never know when a niche opportunity might present itself. Try carrying a small notebook with you and every time you think of something that would make a good niche, write it down. Once you have your list, start researching them on Google or the search engine of your choice.

You can discover lots of niche finding tips, tools and ideas at these sites:

Andy Beard – Niche Marketing
Niche Marketing Explained
Niche Market Know-How

Or you can do a search for "
niche marketing" and find the ones that are the most helpful. Bookmark them to refer back to whenever you need new tips, ideas or tools.

Marketing to a niche means you have to be knowledgeable in that niche. If you don't have the knowledge yet, then choose a niche product that you would love to promote, and then spend the necessary time to research it and learn as much as you can, and you will eventually become an expert in your niche field. Marketing to a niche you're interested in will also make you a more effective marketer and will in turn increase sales.

Niche marketing is no different than any other online marketing, posting relevant content is the number one way to get the right type of traffic to your niche site. Writing keyword rich articles or reports and posting them to high traffic web sites is another way to make sure that you get exposure within your niche market. In no time, you will see the results of more sales and traffic.

If you spend the time to do your research and marketing…
then Niche Marketing can become a very profitable work at home business.

To Your Success,
EJ Cooksey

Join Me On The Reciprocal Review Carousel

Presented By: EJ Cooksey | 7/02/2007 01:35:00 PM

I found a new link building technique while I visiting at AskAnissa. It was originally started by Alex over at HowtoSpoter.com. This is a great web 2.0 link building tactic and can greatly increase your incoming links if you use it.

Thanks to Anissa for passing this on, and to Alex for starting this genius link building campaign!

— copy and paste the Reciprocal Review Carousel and instructions below this line —

Reciprocal Review Carousel idea is based on a few simple yet effective link-building and blogging techniques I have learned:

  • Build value of the blog by creating a helpful link from within content.
  • Provide value to community by doing a review on a blog you personally like.
  • Link to YOUR blog has exact anchor text you want and helps you boost Google Rankings.
  • No more than 30 outbound links from any page to prevent penalties for link farming.
  • Viral effect of the link – as more bloggers participate, link to your blog with YOUR anchor text, coming from quality content post will spread.

Check out how this started (opens in a new window) then come back here and see what has changed on the review list below and you will see how this works immediately.

Here is How to participate:

  • Copy the entire text between the specified lines.
  • Create a post on your site and put at least one paragraph explaining how you joined the Reciprocal Review Carousel.
  • Paste the text you copied into your post.
  • Remove the Bottom Review and At the Top add your own review with a link to a site reviewed, at least 2 sentences about the site and a note – Reviewed by: Your Anchor Text. Link your anchor text to your site.

Here is an example:
